About these terms

These terms (the "Terms") govern your use of Cat & Dog Breed Identifier, an iOS app published by Applied Intelligence Tools and Applications("we", "our", "us"). By installing or using Cat & Dog Breed Identifier, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Cat & Dog Breed Identifier is

Cat & Dog Breed Identifier is an educational tool that uses on-device features and a third-party AI provider to help you identify the breed of a cat or dog and learn about temperament and care needs. It is intended for general interest and learning. Identifications are best-effort and may be wrong. Always verify anything important with a qualified expert or an authoritative source.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Cat & Dog Breed Identifieron devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store's standard End-User License Agreement.

Subscriptions, free trials, and billing

Cat & Dog Breed Identifier is free to download. Pro features (including unlimited identifications, the in-app cat or dog assistant, and full history) require an active subscription.

Monthly subscription: $6.99 / month, billed once per month.
Annual subscription: $29.99 / year, billed once per year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.

Prices shown above are typical USD pricing. The exact amount in your local currency, including any applicable taxes, is shown by Apple on the purchase screen before you confirm.

By subscribing, you authorize the following, in line with standard App Store rules:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the same price unless you cancel auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current period ends.
You can manage subscriptions or turn off auto-renew at any time by going to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad after purchase.
Free trial: if you start the 3-day free trial and do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid annual subscription at $29.99 / year. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends.
Refunds are handled by Apple in line with their refund policy. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically issue a refund for the current billing period.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use Cat & Dog Breed Identifier for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose,
attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the app or its protected components,
scrape, automate, or otherwise abuse the app or any third-party service it depends on,
rely on Cat & Dog Breed Identifier as the sole basis for any decision with safety, financial, medical, or legal consequences, or
upload content you do not have the right to use.

AI-generated content

Identification results, descriptions, and assistant responses are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Use them as a starting point, not as a final answer. We label AI-generated content where practical and encourage you to verify anything important.

User content

You retain ownership of the photos and text you provide to Cat & Dog Breed Identifier. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process that content solely to provide the features you request (for example, sending a photo to our AI provider to identify the cat or dog in it). We do not use your content to train public AI models.

Disclaimers

Cat & Dog Breed Identifier is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that identifications will be correct.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Applied Intelligence Tools and Applications is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of Cat & Dog Breed Identifier, including any reliance on identifications or AI outputs. Our total liability for any claim relating to Cat & Dog Breed Identifier will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Cat & Dog Breed Identifier at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any active subscription via your Apple ID. We may suspend or terminate access to Cat & Dog Breed Identifier or particular features if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when. Continued use of Cat & Dog Breed Identifier after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
